Why the Parade?

It is stupid to parade accused with their faces covered to media person. What use it is for?
The Indian police just want to exhibit their catch and show that they are on their toes and concerned of the security of the state.
But, when the court acquits the accused on lack of evidence, police cover their faces to hide their embarrassment of not doing their home work properly and not filing proper charge sheets. Interestingly, the media is absent on this occasion.  This foolish practice should be abandoned.
